Chris
Davis and her husband Tim scored again!!
Chris and Tim have a
National title to add to their list of
accomplishments. In the first week of May this
year in Redding California Chris and Tim entered a
3D Safari shoot. These were life size safari
animal moving targets. Only armed with their
trusty bow and arrows, Chris and Tim came out on top
and took the National Championship. Here is a
picture of the happy two with their belt buckle
trophies.
 March
2008 Chris
Davis started shooting archery 17 years ago with her
husband and his brother in their backyard. It
was just a summer thing, with the guys getting ready
for hunting season. After having her daughter
Claire, Chris and her husband joined KBH Archers and
started shooting year round. It progressed
from local fun shoots to state competitions.
She usually watched Claire while her husband Tim was
shooting, but in the last couple of years has been
able to spend more time shooting since Claire was
getting bigger and needing less one on one time.
Chris has placed in several state, regional, and
national tournament for her division, but this last
winter set her 1st state record on the blue face
target. We are so proud of her accomplishment!
Congrats Chris! November

Taryn King gets her MTC!! Congratulations!!
Taryn joined KPT in April of 2007
after graduating from the University of St.
Augustine in Florida with a doctorate in Physical
Therapy ("DPT"). Taryn has continued
to advance her education and recently received her
Manual Therapy Certification ("MTC") from the
University of St. Augustine. This is an
advanced post-graduate level certification that
requires a great deal of additional study and
preparation. It required her to pass an
advanced-level written test, answer advanced-level
oral questions from a faculty panel, and demonstrate
advanced skills to the faculty panel on a spectrum
of advanced skill treatment techniques for spine and
extremity problems. This is a big
accomplishment involving high standards that most
physical therapists have difficulty passing even
after many years of experience. We are proud
of her accomplishment and we are glad to have her as
part of our team at our North Kitsap Medical Center
office. September
